All but one of the realms is completely P2W, and the PvP is cross-realm so you'll be at a huge disadvantage anyways. I really want to play a tank in WoW classic - I tried getting into it before but redridge mountains was just chaos incarnate - could barely move two steps without getting ganked for 2 months straight. Server only affects the guilds you can join and the Auction house. So choose the highest population one with the faction balance towards what you want to play. This will give you the widest selections of guilds to join, and the healthiest auction house, and there are really no negatives.Realms still matter for guilds, the economy, and mythic raiding. Even if you don't care about mythic raiding, it's best to choose a realm that's very populous for your chosen faction unless you're joining a friend who's on a different sort of realm.
